About us

Welcome to Tabaiba Guesthouse, your home with a relaxed and easy atmosphere. We are Karin and Sergio Flores Menéndez, two lovers of Tenerife and the mountains. Karin (German) has a Masters Degree in Business Administration and manages the guesthouse. Sergio (Spanish) is a professional mountain guide and nature hiking expert with more than 35 years of experience.

With our rural bed and breakfast, we have fulfilled a dream and a life project. Guests often ask us what brought us here. Our answer is simple: the beauty of nature and the cheerfulness of the “tinerfeños”. We invite you to share our passion for this unique place.

The House

Tabaiba Guesthouse is a typical Canarian house built in 1902. A well-known family from the village once lived in this historic building, which we have renovated and converted into a cosy rural inn. We have modernised all the rooms for your comfort, while respecting the structure of the interior, the original doors and windows and the façade.

Tabaiba Guesthouse has been part of the Canary Islands Youth Hostels Network since 2019. We are the owners, your hosts and your neighbours. We live on the first floor of the house and the hostel is on the ground floor. Make yourself at home!

Lovely freshly homemade Breakfast prepared each morning. The guesthouse is situated right in the centre of town making it an ideal base to explore the north part of the island as well as a good base for hiking.
