Terms and Conditions

Tabaiba Guesthouse is a small family run business offering bed and breakfast accommodation. Our aim is to make your stay with us as enjoyable as possible and the best way to ensure this is to know our terms and conditions. By making a reservation through our website you are deemed to have fully read and understood our terms and conditions which form an integral part of the reservation.

How to pay

On acceptance of your booking we will ask for full payment for the total cost of your stay. Payment can be made by credit or debit card via our website.

Arrival and Departure

Arrival is possible from 3pm. After booking, you will receive an email with access details for self check-in.

The room must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure. If you have an excursion planned for that day, we can store your luggage free of charge until your return.

Children

Children aged 14 and over are welcome but must occupy their own bed in their parents’ room at the full adult rate.

Cancellation Policy

A deposit equal to the total cost of the booking is required at the time of booking. This deposit will be refunded in accordance with our cancellation policy. If you cancel up to 7 days prior to arrival, we won’t charge a cancellation fee and will refund your deposit in full. If you cancel less than 7 days prior to arrival, no refund will be made. In the event of a no show or a reduction in the booking (after the arrival date) the full cost of the booking will be charged. Cancellations will always be confirmed by email. A booking should not be considered cancelled until you have received a confirmation email from us.

Unexpected cancellation

We will only cancel your booking in exceptional and unforeseen circumstances. If we have to cancel your booking, we will notify you as soon as possible and endeavour to recommend alternative accommodation. However, we will not be responsible for any loss or increased expenses incurred by you in securing alternative accommodation elsewhere.

Non-residents

Under no circumstances will any person(s) not accepted by us as paying guests be allowed to join you in your room or in the communal areas. For security reasons, it is forbidden to invite third parties who are not registered customers.

Pets

We do not allow pets in our home.

The rooms

It is forbidden to cook or eat in the rooms, to move the furniture, to put the mattresses on the floor or to organise meetings or parties.

It is not allowed to bring large outdoor equipment into the rooms. We have a large storage room for bicycles, surfboards, diving equipment, wetsuits, etc.

Please separate recyclables into the appropriate bins and reduce water and energy consumption.

You can use our roof terrace from 7.00 to 23.00. The consumption of food is not allowed. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Quiet hours

We kindly ask you to respect the rest of our guests between 10pm and 6am. Please take special care not to slam doors and windows or make too much noise during these quiet hours.

Smoking Policy

We have a strict non-smoking policy throughout the property. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the common areas and in the rooms. There is a smoking area on the roof terrace.

Liability of Tabaiba Guesthouse

Tabaiba Guesthouse accepts no liability for any damage, loss or injury to guests or their belongings unless it can be proved that this was caused by our wilful misconduct or negligence. For your safety, please ensure that you have locked all doors and windows when leaving the guesthouse.

Liability of guests

Guests must respect all fixtures and fittings. Guests are responsible and liable for any breakage or damage caused by wilful misconduct or gross negligence. Tabaiba Guesthouse will charge guests for any damage or breakage prior to departure. We understand that accidents can happen unintentionally, so we ask guests to report any incidents as they occur so that we can rectify them.

If we find that a room requires excessive cleaning after your departure, we reserve the right to make a charge to cover the additional cleaning costs.

If keys are lost, a charge will be made to cover the cost of replacing keys and locks.

IN THE EVENT OF A BREACH OF ANY OF THESE CONDITIONS BY THE CLIENT, WE WILL ASK THE CLIENT TO LEAVE THE PREMISES IMMEDIATELY WITHOUT ANY REFUND.
